She has a gentle smile and a soothing tone of voice, but is surprisingly fast-paced and impatient as she calls herself. She loves not only the ocean, but also the culture and history of Okinawa, and she is always showing her passion for it in her work. Staff/staff member who is from Okinawa and loves Okinawa very much.
- HOSHINOYA Okinawa

HOSHINOYA Okinawa" opened on July 1, 2020, located in Yomitan Village in the central part of Okinawa's main island, about 60 minutes by car from Naha Airport. The property stretches along a beautiful coastline and is surrounded by a "Gusuku Wall" inspired by Okinawa's historic "Gusuku" sites. The Property is dotted with a variety of public areas, including all Guest rooms with ocean front desks, a pool open to the ocean for year-round enjoyment, and a dojo that serves as a base for activities. For dining, guests can enjoy "Ryukyu Siciliana," a combination of Okinawan ingredients and Sicilian culinary techniques. You can stay as if you were living with a view of the ocean in a space that is a collection of Okinawan luxuries.

Local Guide FAQ
- What do you recommend in the Yomitan area?
This Property [Gala Blue Sea] is a complex where you can experience Ryukyu Glass making, Yachimun (pottery pottery making), and a diving store.
This is a great place to make memories as you can take your experience in Okinawa home with you.
There is also a local American pizza shop, so it is a place where you can feel two sides of Okinawa: the Unnai (Okinawa) and the American culture that still remains in Okinawa.
- Please sneak in some hole-in-the-wall places that you know because you live there.
I recommend the beach called [Zanehama] located behind Cape Maeda, about 15 minutes by car from HOSHINOYA Okinawa.
On a fine day, you can see fish and starfish in the shallows.
Zanehama is deep in history and has a rock window where a hole was drilled to place a gun turret at the time of the war.
Today, the beach is used as a photo spot, but it is also registered as a cultural asset, making it a valuable beach where you can learn about its history.
- What is your most memorable trip?
The trip to Thailand that I took with my college friends on our graduation trip left a lasting impression on me. Thailand is famous for its rich food culture, and I was so shocked that I could eat one plate of food for 100 yen that I ate about five meals during my stay. I still vividly remember the moment when I was able to take a picture of myself holding a baby tiger, which had been a dream of mine.
- What do you do on your days off?
You can go to the ocean, mountains, waterfalls, cafes, and so on,
You can go to the ocean, mountains, waterfalls, cafes, and so on. People tend to think that Okinawa is all about the ocean, but it is also rich in greenery, so basically I play with Okinawa's nature.
After that, I often go to cafes.
A good meal after moving around on a holiday is the best.
- Is there anything you always take with you on a trip?
My travel item is my Cheki. I leave memories of my trip on my cell phone, but the great thing about the Cheki is that I can immediately print out the memories I just took. I like this because I can give them to my friends who came on the trip with me, give them to people I met there as gifts right away, and share the joy of the trip on the spot.
